The Lake Shore West Garden Tour showcases the diverse and beautiful gardens in our community. From cottage gardens to contemporary spaces, each garden has a unique story to tell.

Visitor Tips

Plan Ahead!

The Tour is self-guided! Pick up a brochure to plan which gardens and events you'd like to visit and decide on your best mode of transportation.

Transportation

Consider public transit to the kick-off talk (9:10am at The Gatehouse - 3101 Lake Shore Blvd. W).

Be Prepared

Check the weather before heading out. Pack essentials like a hat, sunglasses, sunblock, water bottle, and comfortable footwear.

Remember: This is a rain or shine event!

When is the Garden Tour?

The Garden Tour will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 10am to 4pm rain or shine. This year, the Opening Festivities (9:10am-9:50am) take place at The Gatehouse Healing Garden (3101 Lake Shore Blvd. W. Toronto) Don't miss it!

How much does it cost to attend?

The Garden Tour is completely free for all visitors thanks to our Sponsors!! We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the beauty of our community gardens.

How do I navigate the tour?

Maps will be available after May 26th at designated pickup locations throughout the community (listed above). You can visit the gardens in any order you prefer.

Can I take photographs?

Photography for personal use is generally permitted, but please respect the privacy of homeowners and any specific requests regarding photography in their gardens.

How can I showcase my garden on the tour?

If you're interested in featuring your garden in a future tour, we welcome interested gardeners living in Alderwood, Long Branch, New Toronto and Mimico to register for the next annual Free garden Tour. Next Tour will take place on Saturday June 27th, 2026. New/returning registrations welcomed by April 20, 2026.
